The Chemical Brothers – Block Rockin’ Beats

“Block Rockin’ Beats” is a song by English big beat duo The Chemical Brothers. It was released as the second single from their second album, Dig Your Own Hole, in March 1997. It reached number 1 on the UK Singles Chart, and number 40 on the American Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. It also received a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.

There are two different edits of “Block Rockin’ Beats” available; one is the version found on Dig Your Own Hole, which has an intro, and the other version begins with the bassline. The B-side “Morning Lemon” is also available on the second disc of the limited edition Singles 93–03.

It was used in the 2003 Ongoing History of New Music episode “Alt-Rock’s Greatest Instrumentals”. Also it is a soundtrack in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.

Linkin Park – From the Inside

“From the Inside” is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. It was released as the fourth single from their second album, Meteora and appears as the tenth track on the record. It was released in Australia and the United States (it was released as download only in the UK) in 2004 as the fourth single from the album.

Metallica – The Unforgiven

“The Unforgiven” is a power ballad by American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released as the second single from their eponymous fifth album Metallica. Though one of the slower tracks on the album, its chord progression is distinctly one of the heavier. The song deals with the theme of the struggle of the individual against the efforts of those who would subjugate him.

Black Label Society – Sold my Soul (Unblackned, live)

Unblackened is a live acoustic album by Black Label Society. It was recorded live on March 6, 2013 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Disc 1 consists on live tracks, and Disc 2 consists also of live tracks among 6 newly recorded songs, which of 3 are re-recordings of previously released songs of Black Label Society’s studio albums. The album was announced back in 2012, but was delayed due to the delaying of the show, which was settled to be recorded in August. Black Label Society started the pre-ordering of the album in August 2013, also offering a Deluxe Edition Box Set containing a double live CD pack, a DVD of the show, a replica of Zakk’s pewter dagger necklace, a photo book with photos taken from the show and a custom package. On August 9, 2013 “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone” was released as a single through iTunes on North America.

John Mellencamp – Jack & Diane

“Jack & Diane” is a 1982 hit rock song written and performed by American singer-songwriter, John Mellencamp, then performing as “John Cougar.” It appears on Mellencamp’s album American Fool. It was chosen by RIAA as one of the Songs of the Century. The single spent four weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982, and, to date, is Mellencamp’s most successful hit single.
