No Doubt – It’s My Life

No Doubt recorded a cover version of the song “It’s My Life” to promote their greatest hits album The Singles 1992–2003. Because the band was on hiatus, while lead singer Gwen Stefani recorded her solo debut album “Love Angel Music Baby”, they decided to record a cover to avoid having to write a new song.

“Sunrise” is the first single of Norah Jones’ multi-platinum album Feels like Home. It reached #4 in Canada and #30 in the United Kingdom. The single was certified gold by the RIAA for sales of 500,000 copies. The song won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 2005 Grammy Awards. In the same year, it was featured in Because of Winn-Dixie.

Beyoncé – Crazy In Love

“Crazy in Love” is the debut single by R&B singer-songwriter Beyoncé Knowles, featuring rapper and now-husband Jay-Z. Producer Rich Harrison, Knowles and Jay-Z wrote the song for Knowles’ debut solo album, Dangerously in Love. “Crazy in Love” is an R&B love song which incorporates elements of hip hop and 1970s-style funk as well as soul music. The track features a sample from The Chi-Lites’ 1970 song “Are You My Woman (Tell Me So)”, used as the song’s horn hook. The lyrics reference a romantic obsession that causes the protagonist to act out of character.

Sting – Stolen Car

Sacred Love is the seventh studio album by Sting. The album was released on 29 September 2003. The album featured smoother, R&B-style beats and experiments collaborating with hip-hop artist Mary J. Blige and sitar player Anoushka Shankar. Some songs like “Inside” and “Dead Man’s Rope” were well received; and Sting had experimented with new sounds, in particular the more rock-influenced “This War”.

50 Cent – In Da Club

“In da Club” is a hip hop song performed by American rapper 50 Cent from his commercial debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’. The song was produced by Dr. Dre with co-production from Mike Elizondo. 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, and Elizondo wrote the song. The track was released in January 2003 as the album’s lead single and it was positively received by music critics. The song has since sold over 7,000,000 copies.
